Summer Reading is well underway. If you have not signed your child up for the
Summer Reading program at CCPL, you still have time. Summer Reading ends August 10th. Below
are our programs and activities for July 2013.
WEEKLY STORYTIMES
WEE READS

These
storytimes are designed to introduce babies to books and language with finger
plays, rhymes, music and toy sharing to enhance pre-reading skills
Mondays, July 1, 8, and 15 at 10:30 a.m.
BABYGARTEN
(under 18 months with adult)*
(under 18 months with adult)*
A
one-hour class that creates a language rich environment through promoting
pre-literacy skills through singing, rhyming, unison reading and finger plays.
Each Babygarten session runs for six weeks.
Mondays, July 22 and 29 at 10:30 a.m.
TIME FOR TWOS
(ages 24 – 36 months with adult)
(ages 24 – 36 months with adult)
Toddlers enjoy picture books, flannel
board fun, sing-a-longs, poetry and simple activities to encourage language
skills.
Tuesdays, July 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 10:30 a.m.
(ages 3 – 6 with adult)
These interactive activities expose
children to books, stories, poetry, music and crafts ideal for reinforcing
early literacy skills.
