Just What Is a Database?
A database is an online collection of resources like encyclopedia, magazine, and newspaper articles, parts of books, pictures, and even videos which provide good, reliable information for homework assignments or any burning questions you might have.

Some of Our Favorites for Kids:
Encyclopaedia Britannica Online for Kids: contains the Compton's Encyclopedia and Elementary Encyclopedia. Topic search results will display pictures, videos, .gov and .edu websites, and journal articles from EBSCO. Also contains the Merriam-Webster Dictionary and Thesaurus.

Enciclopedia Juvenil (Spanish): Spanish elementary encyclopedia for early readers of Spanish.

Kid's Info Bits: magazine and reference sources for children in grades K-5.

TumbleBook Library: a collection of free animated interactive talking picture books. Listen to stories in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese or Russian. Also features games, puzzles and much more!
