April 2014 Happenings at the Otranto Children's Department

So long Old Man Winter!  Spring is finally here in Charleston County.  As you and your family shake off the long, winter and get ready for months and months of sunshine and warm weather, think about joining us at the Otranto Children's Department for a program or two (or three or more)!  Fun will be had by all.  Our programs for this month are listed below.  Please contact us at 843-572-4094 if you have any questions.

For 0-23 months with adult
Age appropriate stories, flannel board and finger plays.
 
Time for Twos
Tuesdays, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 at 10:30 a.m.
for 2 year olds with adult  
Child must be 2 by start date
Age appropriate stories, flannelboard and finger plays.
 
Preschool Storytime
Wednesdays, April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at 10:30 a.m.
Child must be 3 by start date

Annual Puppet Show: Tales from the Earth and Sky
Stories about clouds, the moon, a caterpillar and coyote finding fire come to life at our annual puppet show.

National Poetry Month Wall
During the month of April, stop by the children’s department and write an acrostic or haiku poem.  We will post them on our poetry wall.

Being a spy is hard work, but learn the tricks of the trade in our tutorial on all things spy related.

Being crafty and creative is easier than you think.

To celebrate Earth Day, stop by the children’s department to make some cool take home crafts –all made with recycled materials.
